Phoenix Comicon wrap up!

the phoenix comicon was a smashing success! this years show was my best convention since the great mini-comic sell out at san diego comicon which led to the printing of the first trade paperback. i managed to sell quite a bit of books, both old and new. sold some original artwork, friends were made, contacts renewed, fun was had, etc.

here are some of the highlights of the show:

i got to jump the line for the Stan Lee autographs due to my guest status and got his signature on my copy of Amazing Spider-man #39. Awesome talking with this legend of comic books!

Alex Robinson (Box Office Poison. Tricked, Too Cool to be Forgotten) and Tony Consiglio (Double Cross, 110 percent) stopped by the table to get their copies of the new OCHO book!

Daniel Bradford drew a sketch of his ROBOT 13 for me in my sketchbook! I'm a pretty big fan of his work!

and the skateboard i had made for the launch of the OCHO book sold! i had priced it to NOT SELL! $80.00 is a lot of money to sell a product for- i had it at the table as something to slow down the traffic and give them something to look at.

i'm already looking forward to next years show!
